Term TCP/IP representative's transmission control protocol / internet agreement, mean a series of agreements. " IP" Represent the internet agreement, TCP and UDP use this agreement to convey the datum and wrap up from a network to another network. Imagine IP into a kind of expressway, it allows other agreements to go and find the product of other computers above. TCP and UDP are on the expressway " The truck " ,The goods that they carry are looking like HTTP, FTP FTP such an agreement,etc..
You should be able to understand, one layer of agreements of transmission that it is used that TCP and UDP are FTP, HTTP and SMTP,etc.. Though TCP and UDP are all used for transmitting other agreements, they have a prominent difference: TCP offers guaranteed data transmission, but UDP does not offer. This mean TCP have one special mechanism come whom guarantee datum's security does not make mistakes pass from an extreme point to another extreme point, UDP does not offer any such assurance.
HTTP(hypertext transmits the agreement) Utilize TCP in two computer (usually Web server and customer end) During transmit information agreement. The customer end uses Web browser to initiate HTTP to ask for Web server, Web server sends the information asked for the customer end.
Remember, need IP agreement to join the network; TCP one kind transmit mechanism of datum of permission we safely,it use TCP the agreements not to be come HTTP of transmitting data have for Web server and agreements special where customer end use.
